CQ Chen Corporate Advisory is a Shanghai-based research and advisory firm founded in 2022.

We provide independent, China-focused research for institutional investors, combining on-the-ground insight with rigorous, data-driven analysis. Our work is designed to support informed investment and strategic decision-making across public and private markets.

For industry-specific questions, we engage relevant sector experts — including customers, suppliers, peers, and former or current employees of target companies — to complement our internal analysis with primary market perspectives.

Our research approach is fundamentally data-driven. We place strong emphasis on primary sources, local disclosures, operational indicators, and verifiable evidence, rather than relying solely on secondary commentary.

We believe that information asymmetry remains a structural challenge in cross-border investment, particularly between China and Western markets. News flow, narratives, and even factual developments are often misunderstood, oversimplified, or selectively represented on both sides. Closing this gap — by translating local context into investor-relevant insight — is central to our mission.

Our clients include U.S. and European investment funds as well as Chinese institutional investors engaged in traditional equity and investment research. In selected cases, we also support corporate clients on strategic and market-entry related topics.

Introducing ChiPT

ChiPT was initially built for the internal research team of CQ Chen Corporate Advisory to enhance our analytical capabilities and streamline our research workflow. As we used it during client projects, existing advisory clients began asking for their own access.

Since the end of 2025, we have made ChiPT publicly available through this website, allowing investors worldwide to access the same AI-powered research tools we use internally for China-focused investment analysis.
